1965 Pontiac Grand Prix Coupe for Sale
Manitowoc, WI
Dec 30, 2023
All vehicle trades considered including classics and performance. We can assist with financing and shipping as needed. This 1965 Pontiac really puts the Grand in Grand Prix. This wonderful classic is a prime example of the big luxury coupes of the era. Hailing from Arizona, it is remarkably solid throughout and a real pleasure to drive. It offers a terrific ride with its generous proportions, 389ci engine, and factory air conditioning. Lets start with the underside of this southwestern Pontiac. The frame and floor pans are all in fantastic condition; its hard to believe this car is almost 60 years old! The body has had one repaint in its original color of Reef Turquoise. I think this is the perfect color for this car; they just seem made for each other. Notable design elements include the gorgeous tail panel and the unique front bumper that wraps all the way to the wheelwells. This Grand Prix also has the desirable Pontiac 8-lug wheels with brand new tires all around. Also note 1965 was the first year for GMs full width perimeter frame. This gives a smoother ride with more safety than the previous x-frame design. The drivetrain consists of the factory 389ci 4v engine rated at 325hp. As with most Pontiac motors there is plenty of low-end torque to really get this big car moving. The transmission is a TH400 automatic while the rear end is a 10-bolt with a factory 4-link suspension. The car is also equipped with power steering and power brakes that are very effective on this big car. Recent maintenance includes a new alternator, power steering pump, brake master cylinder, hoses, shoes, and wheel cylinders. The turquoise interior is very inviting with its woodgrain features and bright accents. Like the exterior, this interior presents a great throwback to the mid-60s but with a clean, uncluttered look. There are bucket seats in front with a center console while the rear bench has a folding armrest in the middle. The exterior lights, interior lights, retractable trunk light, turn signals, horn, radio, wipers, and parking brake all function properly. So do all the instruments including the power (vacuum) gauge at the front of the center console and the aftermarket oil / water gauges in the glove box. And finally, the factory air conditioning also works and is still an R12 system. This Grand Prix has a ton of personality and seems to get everyones attention. It is a special combination of style, drivability, and condition that makes it stand out among classic cars. If youre a fan of the big 60s coupes then this may be your ride; just make sure you measure your garage before you bring this one home. 1964 Ford Fairlane Custom Ranch Station Wagon for Sale
Manitowoc, WI
Dec 30, 2023
All vehicle trades considered including classics and performance. We can assist with financing and shipping as needed. Old station wagons have their own kind of cool. They are unlike anything you can buy today, with their classic car looks, V8 engines, and generous proportions. This 1964 Ford Fairlane Custom Ranch wagon captures the look of Fords finest and is somewhat rare; when is the last time you saw one of these on the road? This one also has a few performance upgrades like a 347ci engine and four-wheel disc brakes to make it even more special. This Fairlane was built at the Kansas City plant and sold through the Atlanta DSO. With a southern upbringing, this car has remained free of any rust problems top or bottom. It has been repainted in its original code P Prairie Bronze and fitted with styled steel wheels for a sporty look. Much of the chrome, trim, emblems, and lenses have been reconditioned or replaced. This includes the roof rails, Fairlane 500 script, and 289 fender badges. Note the rear bumper steps too. Originally powered by a C-code 289ci V8, this Fairlane has a lot more scoot today thanks to a stroked 347ci small block. Engine highlights include Edelbrock aluminum heads, RPM Air-Gap intake, and Performer 4-barrel carburetor with electric choke. It also has an MSD 6AL ignition, Hooker headers, Milodon 8-quart oil pan, and an aluminum radiator. The original Cruise-o-Matic transmission has been replaced with a rebuilt C4. The rear end has 3.25 gears for nice highway cruising. There are many new parts throughout the steering and suspension systems, and the brakes have been converted to discs all around along with a dual reservoir master cylinder. The old Palomino interior has been completely redone in black and looks terrific. The dual bench seats have subtle white piping and dual lap belts in front. The door panels, carpet, dash pad, and headliner have all been replaced and are in great condition. Equally impressive are the dashboard, gauges, steering wheel, and horn ring. A set of oil pressure and water temperature gauges were added under the dash along with a Moon tachometer. The gauges, lights, turn signals, heater, horn, wipers, and AM radio all work properly. In back, the tailgate has a power window while the rear storage area is fully carpeted. The rear facing third seat compartment is lined with rubber and is great for storage. One other interesting note about this Fairlane. It made a brief appearance in the 2011 movie Kill The Irishman with Val Kilmer at the wheel. It can be seen around the 30 minute mark if you are interested. The sight of a station wagon from this era is becoming less frequent. It is even more unusual to see one like this Fairlane. It is a solid specimen with fantastic lines and plenty of updates. And how else can you have all this space and still look so cool? 1952 Chevrolet Styleline Deluxe Convertible Convertible for Sale
Manitowoc, WI
Dec 19, 2023
All vehicle trades considered including classics and performance. We can assist with financing and shipping as needed. Talk about a beautiful automobile! This frame-off restored 1952 Chevrolet Styleline Deluxe convertible is one of the nicest such cars you will find. Produced from 1949-1952, the Styleline was part of Chevrolets first postwar car design and was a huge success. It was available in several body styles in either Special or Deluxe trim levels. However, only the Styleline Deluxe was offered as a convertible, and that configuration represented just over 1% of total production. Those are small to begin with, but by 1952 the entire industry saw a pullback and convertible production dwindled to 11,975 units, making that year the rarest of the bunch. This Los Angeles built example was purchased by its last owner in 1986 as a non-running project. Work was put on hold for more than 20 years due to various life events, but the project was revived in 2013 and the car was back on the road in 2016. This nut-and-bolt restoration resulted in a fantastic looking automobile inside and out. Highlights are many and include a color change from Sahara Beige to Chevrolet Cherry, replating of all the chrome, and replacement of the power top. All the Deluxe trim and badging gives a lot of pop over the lesser Special package. The car rides on Firestone 7.10-15 bias ply whitewalls that really add to the look too. Note the rare Do-Nut Disc pieces that extend beyond the hub caps to give the illusion of a chrome wheel nice! The car is powered by Chevrolets ubiquitous Stovebolt straight-six engine, displacing 216.5ci with a rating of 92hp at 3,400rpm. This OHV design was part of GMs lineup for many decades and provided excellent dependability for cars and trucks alike. It starts easily and runs smoothly, and also includes the optional oil filter. The column shifted three-speed manual transmission works perfectly and feeds the factory torque tube arrangement to the 4.11 rear end. The brakes, steering, and suspension have also been redone and operate as they should. The interior is befitting to the rest of the car. It too saw a color change, from tan-and-brown to the present red-and-white leather. It looks fantastic with the rest of the car, especially with the top down! New hides were procured from Australia where the lack of barbed wire fences allows for a more pristine surface. Of course the carpet, door panels, dashboard, handles, and seals were all redone as well. The speedometer, gauges, wipers, headlights, dash lights, courtesy lights, turn signals, horn, and parking brake all work properly. So does the old AM radio! Note the optional heater box is not present. The trunk compartment has been carpeted and houses a proper spare tire and bumper jack. A high quality flannel car cover is also included along with a 2023 appraisal showing a value of $69,980. In their April 1983 edition, Car Collector magazine estimated that fewer than 150 of these 1952 Styleline Deluxe convertibles remain on the road. That is a shame as this was one of the most beautiful cars of its day. And while any 52 Chevy convertible is hard to find, this cars outstanding condition makes it even more unique. Its a great find for any serious collector. Used 1952 Chevrolet Styleline Deluxe, 76,345 miles All vehicle trades considered including classics and performance. 1962 Chevrolet Impala SS Coupe for Sale
Manitowoc, WI
Dec 14, 2023
All vehicle trades considered including classics and performance. We can assist with financing and shipping as needed. This 1962 Impala SS has a lot to offer. To begin, this is a real black-over-red Impala SS; no color changes or fake badging here. It underwent a refurbishment in 2010 that included new paint and many new parts. It still wears a number of period modifications from the 1960s and is powered by a fresh dual-quad 327. And while some of these classics change owners frequently, this Impala has been with the same individual for 55 years! This one has a colorful history. Its last owner purchased the car in 1968 when he was 16 years old. The car was well-known on the street and had been fitted a variety of performance parts. This included a Corvette 327 fitted with a cross-ram intake (necessitating the teardrop style hood). While the car won plenty of races, it was also the owners primary transportation, getting him through high school and then tech school. They continued through life together. After decades of service, the car received a major refurbishment in 2010. This included replacing the floor pans, trunk pans, and some cross bracing. It was repainted in its original code 900 Tuxedo Black with four coats of clear. It was recently buffed as well for a nice shine. Most of the brightwork remains original including the front grille. The car was also fitted with 15 Weld aluminum wheels and Goodyear Eagle tires. The 327ci engine received a professional rebuild by part Skarlupka in 2019 with approximately 4,000 miles since. The 3782870 block was bored 0.060 while the crankshaft was turned 0.010/0.010. It was fitted with 10.5:1 pistons to give healthy compression but still work with pump gas. The rotating assembly was balanced to 9,000 rpm for smooth operation. The valvetrain was fitted with hydraulic lifters and roller rockers, and the double-hump cylinder heads received hardened valve seats. Up top is the vintage Edelbrock X-C8 intake topped by dual Holley carburetors. Such a great period setup! There is also a 4-core radiator and headers feeing a dual exhaust with cutout plates. The automatic transmission was upgraded from a 2-speed Powerglide to a 3-speed TH350 with a shift kit and lockup torque converter. The driveshaft was rebuilt accordingly and a new center support bearing installed. The Positraction rear end received new bearings and seals. Additional mechanical work included going through the front and rear suspension along with the steering components, and the braking system was upgraded to front discs with a dual reservoir master cylinder. The factory code 875 red vinyl SS interior received some updates too. The bucket seats were redone with new foam and upholstery, while front and rear seat belts were installed. The carpet was replaced and comes with a set of rubber floor mats. A trio of underdash gauges was installed along with a column mounted tachometer. All the lighting works properly including the low / high beams, running lights, brake lights, turn signals, backup lights, dash lights, and courtesy lights. The horn, wipers, heater, and parking brake all function properly as does the aftermarket digital radio. A spare tire and bumper jack reside in the cavernous trunk. This Impala just oozes character! It is a beautiful, solid car with a great blend of vintage and current upgrades. And with all the recent work it is in excellent mechanical condition as well. While you may be able to find another nice black/red 62 SS, this example is a real standout and has an incredible run of ownership. You wont find many like this one.
