1986 Porsche 944 Turbo Coupe 2 Door for Sale
Beautiful 1986 944 turbo. Stunning paint, solid 8.75, some road rash on mirrors but front is very clean, the rest of the car speaks for itself in the pictures. The car has all new Stone Guards, done so well you can't even see them. New Engine, less than 3k miles, built by JAB Racing. Those of you Rennlist will know the car and the guys who built it. They have built several engines for rennlisters and some of you will recognize the track car in one of the pictures that they built and campaigned at DE events for many years. Highlights: New motor, with Mahle Iron coated (ferroprint) pistons. All new bearings, seals, o-rings, gaskets, and Cometic head gasket. New water pump, thermostats, belts, and hoses. Timing belt was just retentioned. VR1 Racing oil 20/50. 1986 LSD transaxle, w/short shift kit and cooler. New rear axle assemblies installed, not rebuilt. Porsche coolant and distilled water used in cooling system, the car runs extremely cool, mostly stayin on the first white line after full warm up. We have built 4 complete engines with either Lindsey or Vitesse components, just like this one. The pistons were measured, 5mm from the bottom of the skirt and we used.015" or.381mm clearance; as we have with all the engines we've built. While this is larger than the orginial factory clearance of.20mm or.007" the Mahle slipper skirt pistons, with Iron Ferroprint coating, have a bit more expansion than the factory Mahle Pistons with Iron Ferrostan coating. Ferrostan is now illegal to manufacture. The.015" was recommended by Mahle direct. LR stage II head, LR II intercooler, LR fuel rail, LR dual port wastegate, LR 2 pc crossover pipe (heat wrapped under oil pan for heat control). Griffiths A/C condensor and compressor. Koni suspension: Koni adjustable inserts up front, adjustable on top. Rear is Koni coilover with torsion bars removed. 500 and 400 lb spring rates. 968 sway bars front and rear. The KLA strut brace is easily removed, I actually put it on because it was standing in the corner of my garage. Used 1986 Porsche 944 Turbo, 43,223 miles Beautiful 1986 944 turbo.
