I have owned and ridden this classic for 8 years, I ride it mostly on weekend rides ( about 1300 miles since purchased) and it always brings a smile to my face. It has always been stored indoors, only seen dry weather and has never to my knowledge been dropped. No expense was spared in creating a beautiful caf é racer typical of the late 60’s/early 70’s; the detailing is superb. This bike uses real original caf é parts, not reproductions. Slimline featherbed frame; alloy Real “Lyta ” short circuit tank; polished alloy oil tank; frame, swing arm, primary cover, etc. powder coated; alloy parts are all polished; Commando forks; hard chromed stanchions; triple clamps machined from aircraft Dural (aluminum); Akront stainless, flanged wheels; stainless spokes; lightened hubs; rare, magnesium racing Lockheed front brake and master cyl. with drilled front disk; all fasteners are stainless steel; stainless fenders. Front shocks overhauled. New front brake cables. This bike runs like it's brand new! It has 500 miles since completed after a five year project. Back to as close to the original as possible! The bike has been painted a 1972 stock color a bit more metallic. Not original on this bike are the expansion chambers, dual front brakes and a gas tank petbird. Original petbird is very tempermental, Starts first Kick! For the engine overhaul the cylinders have been bored out 20 over pistons. Clean ports and have replaced all outside seals. Oil is CLEAN, and the oil injection is perfect. Carbs have been cleaned and the bike shifts great.
