This is a beautiful running and driving 1989 944 Turbo. 1989 was the final year for this model in the US, and it is comparable to the Turbo S of prior years. I have the Porsche Certificate of Authenticity as pictured. I believe the car to have had three owners since new. It has just been serviced and inspected by a well-known independent Porsche repair facility in the Chicago area. Clean Car Fax, with no accidents or recalls reported. Original jack, owner ’s manual, pouch, and keys are still with the car. Optional equipment on this car includes glass panel sunroof, partial leather seats, cruise control and Hi Fi sound. The photos really don ’t do the car justice. It also drives as tight and solid as you ’d expect of a well-kept Porsche. You ’d be hard pressed to find a nicer looking or driving example. BODY: Super clean body shows no evidence of rust, rust repair or previous damage. All sheet metal panels appear to have their original factory VIN labels. Overall paint is excellent. There are a few chips and minor sratches from normal use. Glass and rubber trim are also excellent. Both the glass and body-colored sunroof panels are included. This car gets a lot of attention and compliments. INTERIOR: Very good to excellent carpets, door panels, dash, dash top, headliner and original steering wheel. Seat leather is very good, with good color except for a small discoloration on the driver ’s seat cushion. The cargo area is immaculate. Time to sell the car I always wanted. It is a 'rare' beast and I'm sure if you are looking at the car you know the extensive history of the URQ's. History on the car.1st owner had it for 6 years, 2nd owner had it for 21 years, 3rd owner (myself) I have owned it for 7 years. It was a California car most of it's life then moved to New Mexico where I purchased the car in 2010. There is absolutely 'no rust' on the car, accident free, original paint interior in very nice shape for the age. Garage kept! It has tan leather interior w/out any rips or tears. I have documentation of repair history that totals over $27,000! The list is quite extensive, here is just a few of the things performed. Valve job 2 Bennet radiator Diff actuators Master cylinder Timing belt Water pump Fuel filters Fuel pump Starter Battery Cross drilled front rotors Alternator New windshield Etc It is all stock except for the 2 Bennett radiator the second owner installed. Current mileage is 78,706. The second owner had it stored and not driven for 14 years during the 22 years he owned it. Hence when he decided to drive the car again he incurred some extensive repair costs. I have, since owning it gone through and sorted out most all of the gremlins. The rear bumper fillers have already been replaced and the paint and trim on them are perfect! And to top that, it still retains 100% of its original factory pinstripe!Tires are brand new with correct specification whitewall. Original tires were expired. The gas tank has been thoroughly cleaned as well as fuel lines and new fuel pump. All fluids have been changed; engine oil and filter, transmission fluid, filter, and gasket, air filter, tune-up, brake fluid and new master cylinder. These items are standard changes due to age rather than mileage. This car has been completely gone through and checked out mechanically and is ready for your driving pleasure. See photo of Transmission pan. When the trans. fluid was changed, the paint on the pan was thin so it was cleaned and painted to spec. Trans. pan bolts were also cleaned and torqued to proper specification.
