1931 Ford Model A for Sale
Fargo, ND
Sep 19, 2023
Itâs not known whether the engine in this Model A is original to the car, but itâs correct for a Ford of this vintage. Every 1931 Model A was powered by Fordâs 201-cu. in. flathead inline-four, which had a compression ratio of 4.22:1, received its fuel through either a Zenith or Holley double-venturi carburetor, and produced 40 horsepower. During the restoration, this Model A was converted over to 12-volt electricals, and received dual exhausts. The engine is said to start immediately after the fuel valve is turned on and the manual choke engaged. It does not smoke or use excessive oil. The Ford transmission was removed and replaced by a five-speed Borg Warner T-5 manual, a gearbox that allows the car to cruise at speed but with lower RPMs. A view beneath the hood reveals a Per Tronix electronic ignition system and distributor, along with generally clean presentation, with only minor surface corrosion visible in a few spots. the paint still presents well after a waxing, describing it as being in overall very good condition. Some chips exist, but the bodywork has no dents and does not need a repaint. The two-tone color scheme is augmented by scarlet pinstriping. 1957 Buick Super Riviera Coupe for Sale
Fargo, ND
Sep 19, 2023
Buickâs first OHV V-8, affectionately dubbed the Nailhead, first appeared in 1953. In 1957, an increase in both its bore and stroke brought the engineâs displacement to 364 cubic inches. It was fed by carburetors supplied by either Carter or Stromberg and was rated by the factory at 300 horsepower. The standard transmission for the Super line in 1957 was the two-speed version of the Dynaflow automatic. The engine in this Super Riviera is original to the car. The started button has been relocated to the dash. It starts the engine immediately after a pump of the accelerator and its idle slows after about a minute with no smoke. The Dynaflow transmission, which was rebuilt as part of the restoration project, is said to engage and change gears immediately and smoothly, with no objectionable noises. A very slight spotting of motor oil is noted at the breather tube, but the car remains dry underneath. The engine bay presents as stock and impressively clean, including the insulation on the underside of the hood. The Super Rivieraâs repaint, in a correct 1957 shade, was completed in February 2019. Used 1971 Ford Mustang Mach 1, 81,525 miles, Blue Per the âVâ code on the door ID tag, the original color for this car was Light Pewter, but it was repainted blue. There is no apparent rust and the glass and window seals are said to be in good condition, along with the exterior bright trim, which appears to shine well. All of the exterior lighting works. The black vinyl interior has been re-trimmed with seat covers featuring blue inserts â and Mustang ârunning horseâ logos â that complement the exterior. The seat upholstery, along with the door panels and dash pad, is in very good condition, with no significant visible wear and no rips or tears, but some visible fading in the dash pad and tops of the door panels. The carpet and headliner are also reported to be in very good condition. Additional aftermarket upgrades include a wood-rimmed steering wheel and a three-gauge panel, as well as a fire extinguisher mounted between the seats. This Mach 1 was born with a 351 Cleveland V-8 engine and thatâs what still resides under the hood. it's the original engine, but it has been recently rebuilt and now has less than 500 miles on it. Performance enhancements include an Edelbrock Performer RPM intake manifold, Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, Doug Thorley ceramic-coated headers and a custom exhaust system. Thereâs also a Summit Racing high-energy ignition distributor and a new radiator. There are no reported leaks or cooling issues with the engine and it reportedly starts, idles and runs very well. The engine compartment features fabricated shock tower braces. Backing the 351C is a recently installed rebuilt Top Loader four-speed manual gearbox, which sends the engineâs torque to a 9-inch rear axle.
